philip wakeman

i'm philip wakeman and i play the mandolin (also known as the ukulele, that little guitar, and even that funny looking thingy) for dfrc.

i have been playing mandolin since i was eight and grew up listening to and playing a lot of bluegrass. luckily my parents didn't alphabetize their records so you were just as likely to pull a zeppelin record out as a stanley brothers. you can't really lose in that kind of a situation. i also play the guitar and took up the fiddle about 2 years ago (although you might think i'd taken it up 2 minutes ago by the sound of it). i do a little song writing and i have a passion for singing. whatever happens i will always be with these 5 people. they are my best friends and i think if you see us you will know that.

right now i am pursuing my master's in education. the most important things in my life are my wife amy, and emma our 2 year old.....ok, ok and nestle's toll house cookies
